The POSTCARD OF THE MONTH Club was my approach to selling small works. I believe strongly that creative content needs context, and for me, postcards have been a great way to bridge the gap between small pieces that would typically only exist in a digital format, and a physical, tangible product.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the monthly mailings, 2011 was a great year and I hope you enjoyed the surprise cards each month. I had a great time with this project!

Select prints are available from me here or in store at Trohv Baltimore!

1. January - "happy new year 2011"
"1. good or bad, use the lessons of last year to shine brighter in this one" This year's postcard was made using last year's as a stencil. The idea is not to forget last year, but to use it as a stepping stone.

2. February - "like"
Do you like me, or do you "like" like me? Is it "Facebook official"? February is a tough month for the word "love," so I thought I'd give "like" a chance.

3. March - "good luck"
A little luck never hurt anyone!

4. April - "ttyl"
Seeya later, winter! April's design is a message frozen in a block of ice... but not for long.

5. May - "MAYBE"
Are the glasses half empty or half full? You decide. Either way, two half-glasses make a whole.

6. June - "NEW"
New season, new leaf. Time for growth and change... if you want it.

7. July - "GREETINGS, from wherever"
After all the tourist traps and rest stops, sometimes it's just nice to be home. Greetings from breakfast. Greetings from routine. Greetings from home.

8. August - "Let's Go"
Get up, get out, let's go! It's SUMMERTIME, and it's not over yet!

9. September - "THAT THING YOU WANT"
This golden ticket is a reminder to work hard and try even harder, because your goals might be more attainable than you think.

10. October - "no"
Treat or Trick? Too much of a good thing is not a good thing!

11. November - "Nice Job"
Keep up the good work! Sometimes a little reminder that we're doing well is all we need.

12. December - "goodbye"
We've reached the end of our rope, so there's really just one thing left to say.
