i just got home

from a lovely evening spent hunched over a Steenbeck editing platform, splicing together clips for my film “Untitled 1.”  it turned out surprisingly acceptable, given the disproportionate amount of dashed hopes, stress and exorbitant shipping fees that went into it.

call me sentimental, but as a memento of the project/process, im gonna give each of my actors a film clip of themselves, 32 frames of their face to be exact, or one full second of rolling footage.

earlier tonight when i was discussing my evening plans with cory, i mentioned that i didnt know how long editing was going to take me, because ive edited clips, but never a complete, self-contained work, and guesstimated that it would only take “a few hours”.  ”like, two?!” he asked incredulously, “or three or something, probably yeah,” i said. HA! funny joke!  i arrived to the studio at 11pm… and left at 530am.  although, i brought tons of snacks (illegal!) and iced tea (illegal!) and adams ipod dock with which to jam out, so it was a party in there to say the least.

now im back and i dont know what to do with myself for the two hours before i have to take a shower before class…

i hope adam comes down and we get to have a bagel breakfast together before he leaves and i bathe.  i have been torn between asking him to MickyDs breakfast before work, or to lunch after i get out of Film around noon… the way i figure, wed maybe bagel, and then wed lunch later.

these are the idle over-thought thoughts which inhabit my mind after not sleeping for ages and spending six straight hours splicing celluloid…
